Nurse Practitioner - Acute care (NP-AC) Neurology Location Houston, TX Hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Job description
  • A full-time permanent position
  • Outpatient only, 20 patients per day
  • Supports both inpatient and outpatient care environments
  • Functions as a licensed registered nurse and advanced practice provider
  • Promotes patient health through comprehensive care

Job requirements
  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of two years as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner
  • Texas RN license (or temporary TX RN license; permanent license required within 90 days)
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Texas
  • National certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (depending on department)
  • Prescriptive authority privileges and DEA registration (within six months of hire)
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient in time management and critical thinking
