Title: Nurse Practitioner Float – Gainesville/Macclenny, FL
Location: Gainesville, FL (float coverage to Macclenny, FL)
Job Type: W2 Contract (26 weeks)
Pay: $74.87/hr
Schedule: Approx. 30–38 hrs/week (includes weekends; possible holiday rotation)
About the Role
We’re hiring a Nurse Practitioner (Float) to provide evidence-based primary and family care while supporting coverage in Gainesville and Macclenny, FL. This is an in-person, patient-facing role working with a dedicated clinical care team to drive strong patient outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Provide primary/family care: assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health counseling, and disposition planning
- Conduct routine exams and support positive patient outcomes
- Encourage patient engagement through screenings, wellness, and chronic condition management
- Clinic administrative duties (open/close, inventory, patient follow-up, verify insurance/collect payment, maintain clean environment)
- Collaborate with the clinical care team and report to the Practice Manager
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state you’re applying in
- Active APRN license in good standing (no current/prior disciplinary actions)
- Master’s degree from a Family Nurse Practitioner program + current national board certification
- Minimum 1 year recent NP experience in primary care / family medicine / urgent care
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC) — must provide copy upon offer acceptance
- Willing to float between Gainesville and Macclenny and work weekends (6 of 12 weekend shifts)
- HS Diploma/GED (verifiable)
Hours of Operation / Shift Coverage
- Mon–Fri: 8:30am–7:30pm (1 hr lunch)
- Sat: 9:00am–5:30pm
- Sun: 9:00am–4:30pm (30 min lunch)
Additional Notes
- DEA registration may be required during onboarding (if applicable)
- Role is safety sensitive
