Position Title: Nurse Practitioner Float
Pay Rate: $74.87/hour (weekly pay)
Assignment Dates: 03/02/2026 – 06/01/2026
Assignment Type: Temporary to Perm (opportunity to extend or convert to permanent based on business needs)
Type of Start: Individual start
Work Environment: In-person, patient-facing role
Onsite Requirements: Onsite as needed
Safety Sensitive Role: Yes


Position Summary

Nurse Practitioners in this float role will work collaboratively with a dedicated clinical care team to deliver evidence-based primary and family care to a diverse patient population. The care team works closely with the provider daily to support improved health outcomes across the patient panel. Responsibilities include accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of acute and chronic conditions, health counseling, and disposition planning. This role reports to the Practice Manager.


Schedule & Training

  • Clinic Hours:

    • Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM

    • Saturday/Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM / 4:30 PM

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

  • Holiday Rotation: Possible

  • Training: 40 hours per week for 4 weeks


Core Responsibilities

  • Provide primary and family evidence-based care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health counseling, and disposition planning

  • Manage acute and chronic health conditions and support preventive care initiatives

  • Perform routine examinations and diagnostic testing

  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and encourage active participation in their own healthcare

  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive treatment plans

  • Conduct health screenings, wellness services, behavioral health support, and chronic condition management

  • Perform administrative duties including opening and closing the clinic, inventory management, patient follow-up, insurance verification, payment collection, and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment

  • Manage patient appointments and ensure a high standard of patient experience


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Candidate questionnaire must be included on the resume

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program

  • Current National Board Certification

  • Active State of Employment license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in family medicine or primary care preferred

    • If not met, successful completion of an approved primary care training program is required

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

    • Copy of active BLS must be provided upon offer acceptance

  • DEA Registration required at time of offer

  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required

  • Working knowledge of quality measures in chronic disease management

  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and patient advocacy mindset

  • Ability to work independently and practice autonomously without direct supervision

  • Proficiency with information management systems and clinical technology

  • Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure

  • Ability to collaborate frequently with professional colleagues in a team-based care model

  • Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working in a float capacity

  • Ability to work remotely as part of a clinical care team when applicable
