Weekend On-Call Registered Nurse (Hospice) – Covering Coffee, Franklin, Grundy & Van Buren Counties

A-Line Staffing is now hiring an On-Call Registered Nurse for a Hospice division in Tennessee, covering the counties of Coffee, Franklin, Grundy, and Van Buren. This is a weekend on-call position with mileage reimbursement. We are looking for experienced RNs with wound care skills and HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) experience.

Weekend On-Call Registered Nurse (Hospice) Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $56.14 per hour
    • Mileage Reimbursement: $0.41 per mile
    • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
    • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

 

Weekend On-Call Registered Nurse (Hospice) Schedule

  • Weekend On-Call: Friday 4:30 PM – Monday 8:00 AM
    • Required availability every weekend for the duration of the contract
    • Field-based position covering Coffee, Franklin, Grundy, and Van Buren counties

 

Weekend On-Call Registered Nurse (Hospice) Requirements

  • Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
    • CPR/BLS certification
    • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
    • Wound care experience required (no certification needed)
    • Experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) is required
    • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

 

Weekend On-Call Registered Nurse (Hospice) Responsibilities

  • Assess, implement, and evaluate nursing support for individuals with chronic, acute, or hospice needs
    • Coordinate care plans and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
    • Manage medication processes (ordering, reviewing, monitoring, discontinuing, and disposal)
    • Document all nursing care and observations per required intervals
    • Provide training to unlicensed staff and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines
    • Serve as a liaison with physicians, discharge planners, and inpatient staff
    • Supervise LPNs and ensure timely medical appointments and follow-up
    • Promote health maintenance and disease prevention through education and intervention
