Occupational Therapist (OT) – Outpatient
Location: Alpena, MI 49707
Schedule: Full-Time | Days
Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Weekend Rotation: 1 per month
On-Call: Discussed during interview
Pay Rate: Starting at $32.00/hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $14,000 (2-year commitment required)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic healthcare team in an outpatient setting, with occasional support in acute care. This role focuses on delivering patient-centered care through evaluation, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention to help patients regain independence and improve quality of life.

Patient Population
- Primarily Outpatient
- Occasional Acute Care coverage
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients using formal and informal assessment tools
- Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions to restore optimal function
- Monitor patient progress and update care plans as needed
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home programs
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, aides, and students
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for compliance and billing
- Participate in care planning meetings and team conferences
Additional Responsibilities
- Recommend and assist with adaptive equipment needs
- Support program development and process improvement initiatives
- Promote occupational therapy services within the community
- Function as case manager for assigned patients
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (or eligible) in Michigan
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of outpatient clinic and occasional hospital setting
- Frequent standing, walking, and patient interaction
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
