Occupational Therapy Assistant Compensation
- The pay for this position is $35.00 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Occupational Therapy Assistant Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is No on call or weekends required
- 28 units/week approximately 30 visits a week, or 6 visits a day.
- Service area- Hillsboro, to Wilsonville to Oregon City, to Fairview/Gresham and all in between.
- 32 hours guaranteed
Occupational Therapy Assistant Responsibilities
- Assists licensed/registered/certified Occupational Therapist in administration of occupational therapy programs in compliance with state practice act(s).
- Provides therapy designed to maintain or restore the patient's ability to function and in a manner which complies with policies and procedures, applicable healthcare standards and governmental laws and regulations.
- Works under moderate supervision.
Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements
- Graduated after successful completion of an occupational therapy assistant education program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA) or its successor organizations.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Occupational Therapy Assistant Preferred Qualifications
- Prior HH experience as well as HCHB experience highly preferred
- Basic knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury - Required
- Current CPR certification - Required
- Good organizational and communication skills and the ability to function with minimal supervision - Required
- Minimum 6 months experience - Required
- Current licensure/certification in the state of practice - Required
