Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Oncology / Medical-Surgical RN. Candidates with Medical-Surgical RN experience and oncology experience are preferred; oncology certification is not required. This role requires flexibility to float and participate in on-call coverage.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care for oncology and medical-surgical patients.

Perform nursing assessments, administer medications, and implement care plans.

Utilize Cerner for electronic charting and documentation.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Participate in unit assignments including floating and on-call duties as needed.

Adhere to hospital policies, including vaccination requirements: Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

Experience: Prior Medical-Surgical experience required; oncology experience preferred.

Licensure: Active Illinois RN license required.

Skills & Knowledge:
-
Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care environment.

Competence with electronic medical record systems (Cerner preferred).

Flexibility to float between units as needed.
-
Willingness to participate in on-call coverage.

Other Requirements: Local candidates preferred.
