A-Line Staffing is now hiring an Overnight Pharmacist (7 on / 7 off)  in Albany, NY. The Pharmacist would be working for a national leader in pharmacy services and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Overnight Pharmacist (7 on / 7 off)  Compensation

• The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour.
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Overnight Pharmacist (7 on / 7 off)  Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
• The required availability for this position is overnight, 7 on / 7 off, 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

Overnight Pharmacist (7 on / 7 off)  Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
• Ensure medications are prescribed, stored, and supplied according to law.
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Educate patients on medications, including usage, side effects, and interactions.
• Provide patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices (e.g., glucose meters, blood pressure monitors).
• Compound medications for internal and external use; prepare sterile solutions.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Identify drug-related problems and communicate with physicians and healthcare teams.

Overnight Pharmacist (7 on / 7 off)  Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Active NY State Pharmacist License.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.

Overnight Pharmacist (7 on / 7 off)  Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or closed-door pharmacy.
• Strong knowledge of drug interactions, medication therapy management, and pharmacy laws.
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
