The Overnight Pharmacist would be working for a healthcare provider focused on delivering safe, effective medication management for residents in long-term care. This role offers career growth potential. This is a full-time position, working 40+ hours per week.

Overnight Pharmacist Compensation
• The pay for this position is $60.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Overnight Pharmacist Highlights
• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM
Overnight Pharmacist Responsibilities
• Evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration. Makes recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and facility staff as appropriate
• Maintains patient/resident database, including appropriate current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications
• Ensures that appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with the healthcare team
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support
• Documents communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members in the medical record
• Implements policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, use, and disposal of drugs and biologicals
• Maintains required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations
• Informs the Pharmacy Manager of medication-related errors
• Assists facility staff with procedures related to drug procurement, maintenance, administration, and disposal
• Performs other tasks as assigned
Overnight Pharmacist Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy; Pharm D preferred
• At least one year of experience in long-term care
• Pennsylvania Pharmacy License required
• Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player, and strong oral communication skills
Overnight Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy
Physical Requirements/Demands
• Lift up to 25 lbs (Frequently)
• Reach, stand, and walk constantly throughout the shift
• Sit, talk, and hear occasionally
• Frequent use of computers and standing
