Job Description
RN – Med/Surg Tele Pay: $55/hr
RN – Med/Surg Tele Contract: 8 weeks (possible extension up to 1 year)
RN – Med/Surg Tele Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
RN – Med/Surg Tele Unit: 24-bed mixed‐acuity Med/Surg + Telemetry
RN – Med/Surg Tele Scrubs: Solid black (if consistent with Summa standards)
RN – Med/Surg Tele Unit Overview
This is a 24-bed mixed acuity unit caring for:
- Medical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
- Progressive-care–level patients (including cardiovascular drips)
- Neurological patients requiring frequent NIH assessments
- COVID and isolation patients as needed
- Ratios typically 1:5–1:6
- Float required
- Active RN license
- 2+ years recent RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required (must be in file to submit)
- Strong telemetry background
- Epic experience within the last 12 months (must appear on resume)
- Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE only)
- RTO due at submission — max 7 days
- No block scheduling requests
- No more than 7 days of RTO; more = automatic rejection
