A-Line Staffing is hiring for a full-time PET-CT Technologist in McAllen, TX (78503). This is a direct hire opportunity with no nights or weekends. Be part of a high-impact oncology imaging team dedicated to precision diagnostics and quality patient care.
Job Description:
Under general supervision, the PET-CT Technologist performs PET imaging procedures and related functions. This role collaborates with the Medical Director and management on technical issues, equipment performance, and quality assurance. Adheres to HIPAA and the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Schedule & Location:
Full-Time | Direct Hire
Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No nights or weekends
Onsite – McAllen, TX 78503
Salary/Wage:
$42.99 – $57.92/hour (Based on experience and certification level)
Key Duties:
• Perform diagnostic PET procedures, including radiopharmaceutical and/or IV contrast injection
• Administer oral contrast; manage protocol setup, patient positioning, image reconstruction, and filming
• Conduct image transfers, archiving, and data tracking
• Assist with patient scheduling and front-office workflow
• Ensure accuracy of patient demographics, files, and report distribution
• Support clinical data collection and patient follow-up documentation
• Follow safety standards and conduct daily quality control checks on scanner equipment
• Report equipment issues promptly for servicing
• Monitor contrast reactions and follow response protocols
• Order and maintain inventory of medical, office, and archiving supplies
Required Qualifications:
Level 1:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technology (AMA-accredited)
• CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification
• PET-CT certification required
• 3–5 years of nuclear medicine and/or PET experience preferred
• General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems
Level 2:
• 5+ years nuclear medicine experience, including 2+ years PET
Senior Level:
• Bachelor's degree (if not already held)
• 4+ years PET experience

Physical Requirements:

Work Environment:
• Clinical setting with direct patient contact
• Exposure to blood, biohazards, and ionizing radiation
• Must follow infection control, radiation safety, and HIPAA regulations
