Job Description

A-Line Staffing is now hiring Pharmacists in Hudson, WI 54016. The Pharmacist would be working for a healthcare pharmacy organization and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week based on scheduled shifts and on-call coverage.
Pharmacist Compensation
  • The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
  • A $1,000 bonus will be granted once the candidate has been on payroll for 30 days from hire
  • On-call compensation includes $75 per night on-call and $75 per dispensing call
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Pharmacist Highlights
  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • The required availability is AS NEEDED BASIS, including approximately 2 scheduled weekend shifts per month (4-week rotation), 3–4 on-call evenings per week, and PTO coverage as needed
  • Weekend hours: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
    Weekday hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    On-call coverage: Weekdays 6:00 PM – 10:00 AM, Weekends 4:00 PM – 12:00 PM
Pharmacist Responsibilities
  • Accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Monitor patient medication adherence and identify overuse or misuse patterns
  • Ensure prescribed medications are appropriate and legally compliant
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files
  • Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, interactions, and storage
  • Offer consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications, including dosage, safety, and drug interactions
  • Provide patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
  • Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
  • Compound non-sterile medications for internal and external use
  • Prepare sterile solutions following established procedures when required
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and support staff
  • Maintain inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
  • Identify and resolve drug-related problems in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy interns to ensure optimal patient care
  • Ensure compliance with all state pharmacy board regulations
Pharmacist Requirements
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the Wisconsin State Board of Pharmacy
  • Experience with non-sterile compounding preferred
  • Experience with on-call and overnight pharmacy coverage strongly preferred
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in community pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or mixed clinical pharmacy settings
  • Strong ability to work independently during on-call hours
  • Experience managing urgent prescription dispensing in after-hours pharmacy operations
