PRN/ON-CALL PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Hudson WI 54016 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $64.27/hr
- On Call rate: $75 per diem and $75 per dispensing call
- Required Availability: As needed | Approximately 2 scheduled weekend shifts per month (4-week rotation) + 3–4 on-call evenings per week
- PTO coverage as needed | Weekday shifts: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM + Weekend shifts: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- On-call coverage | Weekdays: 6:00 PM – 10:00 AM + Weekends: 4:00 PM – 12:00 PM
PRN/ON-CALL PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The PRN/On-Call Pharmacist will provide weekend, evening, and after-hours pharmacy coverage. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys working independently while ensuring patients receive timely, accurate medication services outside of standard business hours. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to quality patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

PRN/ON-CALL PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Provide medication counseling, including dosage, administration, side effects, storage, and drug interactions.
- Monitor patient medication therapy and identify potential drug-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Compound non-sterile medications as needed and prepare sterile products when required.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff during assigned shifts.
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory and maintain pharmacy compliance standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Respond to urgent medication needs during after-hours and on-call coverage.
PRN/ON-CALL PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Active, unrestricted Wisconsin Pharmacist license.
- Ability to work on-site.
- Experience with non-sterile compounding preferred.
- Previous on-call, overnight, or after-hours pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional patient care.
