Compensation:

• The pay for this position is $23.61 per hour

• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

• A 401(k) with a company match is available to full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Highlights:

• This position is a contract assignment with potential for long-term extension based on business needs

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

• Shift: 1st Shift

• Location: On-site in Vernon Hills, IL

Responsibilities:

• Support test lab daily operations, including equipment qualification, test method validation (TMV), and engineering projects

• Perform bench-level engineering tests for design verification (DV), stability, feasibility, and test method development (TMD)

• Execute moderately complex test requests with minimal supervision

• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving testing inconsistencies or requests

• Support equipment qualification (IQ/OQ) and test method validation development activities

• Participate in development of lab functions such as environmental chamber supervision, equipment maintenance, calibration coordination, test procedure maintenance, and tool/fixture design

• Maintain good documentation practices (GDP) and ensure compliance with good laboratory practices (GLP)

• Support process improvement initiatives and creation of tools to simplify testing operations

• Adhere to environmental health and safety (EHS) standards and participate in audits as required

Requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years of relevant lab technician or engineering lab experience preferred

• Technical Skills: Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment, data collection, and troubleshooting

• Knowledge: Understanding of GDP, GLP, and basic equipment qualification processes (IQ/OQ)

• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional lab environment

• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and documentation skills

• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general lab software

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or GED

• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related technical field
