The pay for this position is $23.61 per hour

Highlights:

This position is a contract assignment with potential for long-term extension based on business needs

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Shift: 1st Shift

Location: On-site in Vernon Hills, IL
Responsibilities:
-
Support test lab daily operations, including equipment qualification, test method validation (TMV), and engineering projects
-
Perform bench-level engineering tests for design verification (DV), stability, feasibility, and test method development (TMD)
-
Execute moderately complex test requests with minimal supervision
-
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving testing inconsistencies or requests
-
Support equipment qualification (IQ/OQ) and test method validation development activities
-
Participate in development of lab functions such as environmental chamber supervision, equipment maintenance, calibration coordination, test procedure maintenance, and tool/fixture design

Maintain good documentation practices (GDP) and ensure compliance with good laboratory practices (GLP)

Support process improvement initiatives and creation of tools to simplify testing operations

Adhere to environmental health and safety (EHS) standards and participate in audits as required
Requirements:
-
Experience: 2+ years of relevant lab technician or engineering lab experience preferred

Technical Skills: Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment, data collection, and troubleshooting

Knowledge: Understanding of GDP, GLP, and basic equipment qualification processes (IQ/OQ)

Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional lab environment

Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and documentation skills

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general lab software
Education:
-
Required: High School Diploma or GED
-
Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related technical field
