PACKAGING OPERATOR | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Woburn MA 01801 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $20/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
PACKAGING OPERATOR | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Packaging Operator will join a medical device manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position responsible for inspecting, labeling, and packaging products while ensuring all quality standards and procedures are followed. Candidates should be comfortable working on their feet throughout the shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
PACKAGING OPERATOR | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, label, and package finished medical products
- Verify products meet quality standards and specifications
- Remove defective products or packaging materials
- Complete production documentation accurately, including inventory records
- Perform basic math calculations to support batch records
- Assist with inventory counts as needed
- Clean packaging workstations and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and contamination control guidelines
- Participate in daily safety discussions and audits
- Handle materials safely, including occasional handling of approved manufacturing waste when required
PACKAGING OPERATOR | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 6+ months of manufacturing, warehouse, packaging, production, or similar hands-on experience preferred
- Recent graduates with relevant skills are encouraged to apply
- Ability to stand and remain active throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Good English communication and comprehension skills
- Team-oriented with a dependable work ethic
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
