Job Description

A-Line Staffing is now hiring Pathology Assistant in Pittsburgh PA 15212.

This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Assistant Compensation

  • The pay for this position is 50 per hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Assistant Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • The required availability for this position is DAYS Flexible start time between 7am-9am

Job Requirements

Pathology Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform detailed gross anatomic description and sectioning of patient tissue sent to the lab for evaluation. May perform detailed gross dissection, description and sectioning of autopsy.
  • Organized/efficient
  • Use a computer/basic functions as well as navigate an APLIS (Epic preferred) and voice recognition system
  • Ability to ensure proper maintenance of equipment, provision of adequate supplies, and cleanliness of surgical pathology area
  • Ability to functionalize the details of research protocols and clinical trials by analyzing the type of tissue needed and ensuring the integrity of the tissue

Pathology Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • PA ASCP CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
  • PA fingerprints can start pending,
  • Covid Vac, Booster, Flu
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
