Pharmacy Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $19 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Pharmacy Technician Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Mon-Fri 9am-6pm
• This is a HYBRID position! Technicians can work from home 3-4 days per week!

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Direct Communication with Manufacturer HUBs and Clients
• Communicate via Email with Hubs and Clients.
• Checks all orders for insurance approval.
• Send Fax Refill requests and Exceptions Faxes to HCP Offices
• Calculates correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
• Responsible for assisting Pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and the provision of pharmaceutical care.
• Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system where permitted by pharmacy regulation, and only at the direction of the supervising pharmacist after their review of the prescription in accordance with The Company policy and procedure.
• Process prescription refills to include: refill confirmation when appropriate, review pending refills with the supervising pharmacist, generate refill documentation, and process third-party claims adjudication.
• Maintains a neat and clean workstation.
• Accurately process all orders in a timely manner.
• Assist in maintaining the accuracy of software templates.
• Other tasks as assigned by Management.

Pharmacy Technician Requirements

• Active pharmacy tech license for the state of Texas
• Strong experience in making outbound phone calls
• 2+ years’ experience in a retail and/or call center pharmacy
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications

• National certification preferred (CPhT, PTCB, ExCPT)
