Compensation

• Pay: $16 per hour
• Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• 401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service on eligibility dates

Job Highlights

• Contract assignment with potential for permanent hire based on attendance, performance, and business needs
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, weekends, and some holidays; consistent punctuality and attendance are required

Responsibilities

• Escort hospital and ambulatory patients via wheelchair or stretcher to their destinations
• Sanitize equipment following disinfection protocols before each use
• Complete daily tracking logs, documenting equipment usage, disinfectant details, and patient destination information
• Provide courteous and professional service, ensuring excellent customer service
• Push wheelchairs or stretchers up to 250 lbs. safely and efficiently
• Navigate hospital campus independently and follow directions accurately

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of patient care and heavy customer service experience
• Ability to push at least 200 lbs. and remain on your feet throughout the shift
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting

Additional Information

• Dress code: Standard uniform required (light blue polo, black scrub bottoms or business casual pants, non-skid shoes, black belt if applicable)
• Parking: Available at employee’s expense; various parking garages and lots nearby
• Position is labor-intensive; candidates must be physically capable and willing to assist patients undergoing intensive treatments
