Patient Escort Compensation

• The pay for this position is $16.00 per hour

• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Patient Escort Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs

• The required availability for this position includes rotating shifts, weekends, and some holidays

Patient Escort Responsibilities

• Escort patients via wheelchair or stretcher to their initial appointment or destination within the hospital campus

• Sanitize and inspect wheelchairs before each use following strict disinfection protocols

• Complete a disinfection tracking log for every patient transported

• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers with compassion and professionalism

• Maintain awareness of surroundings, communicate effectively, and follow directions precisely

• Push patients weighing up to 250 pounds using wheelchairs or stretchers

• May be required to work at alternate healthcare locations within the area as needed

Patient Escort Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1+ year of experience in patient care or a customer service-focused role

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods in a labor-intensive environment

• Able to push 200+ lbs safely

• Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor

• Strong communication and navigation skills

Dress Code

• Light blue polo, black scrub bottoms or black business casual pants with belt loops

• Non-skid, comfortable black or white shoes and socks

• No denim, leggings, hoodies, artificial nails or eyelashes allowed
