Job Description:

The Patient Services Coordinator professionally greets and welcomes patients and their families, registers and schedules appointments, answers calls, and directs them to the appropriate staff. The role supports the clinic’s operations, ensuring that patient records are updated, co-pays are collected, and the clinic’s environment remains organized. They also assist with paperwork, appointment cancellations, and rescheduling. Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations is essential.


Schedule & Location:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (local time)
  • Location: Dallas TX 75230 United States

Salary/Wage:

  • Hourly Wage: $21 - $23 per hour

Duties:

  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring proper documentation and information is completed.
  • Collect co-pays and balances, providing receipts.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, relay messages to the appropriate staff.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as necessary.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
  • Assist with office administrative tasks such as filing charts and managing office supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lobby and waiting area.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 18 months of experience as a front medical office receptionist, including scheduling and insurance forms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of office supplies and forms.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
