Patient Services Coordinator Highlights

• The pay for this position is $21.00-$23.00 per hour.

• Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

• Onsite position

• This position is a full time, contract.

 

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and professionally, checking in patients and notifying clinical staff of their arrival.

• Provide and explain paperwork to patients before their examination, collect and proofread forms for completeness, and file them properly.

• Update patient demographic and insurance information in the system, collect co-pays and balances, and provide receipts.

• Answer, screen, and direct calls, take thorough messages, and route inquiries to the appropriate personnel.

• Schedule follow-up appointments based on physician guidelines, and provide patients with appointment details, such as time, location, and instructions.

• Handle patient cancellations and missed appointments, reschedule as needed, and notify appropriate staff members.

• Perform general administrative tasks, including filing charts, maintaining office supplies, and ensuring the lobby area is neat and organized.

• Adhere to confidentiality and legal requirements, including HIPAA and state/federal laws concerning patient records.

• Perform other administrative duties as assigned, such as typing memos and forms.

 

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

• Minimum of 18 months of experience as a front medical office receptionist, including handling insurance forms and using scheduling software.

• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Office Word, and Excel.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, handle day-to-day challenges, and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong work ethic with a commitment to delivering quality service and achieving performance goals.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to healthcare compliance standards.

• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.

• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
