Patient Support Program Coordinator Job description:
The Patient Support Program Coordinator will be responsible for telephonic patient counseling, nursing intervention, and coordination of services related to patient support programs. This role will involve direct interactions with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals using web-based telephony, face-to-face communication, and other methods. The position also includes providing support to physicians and coordinating reimbursement and other patient services.
Patient Support Program Coordinator Schedule & Location:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10am - 7pm or 11am - 8pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Location: On-site Cary, NC 27513, with potential for hybrid work after March 2025
Patient Support Program Coordinator Salary/Wage:
- Pay Rate: $21 - $22.50 per hour
Patient Support Program Coordinator Duties:
- Provide telephonic patient counseling and nursing intervention
- Coordinate and deliver reimbursement and other services related to patient support programs
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Support patients and multidisciplinary teams using web-based and face-to-face communication methods
- Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
Patient Support Program Coordinator Required Qualifications:
- Must have Certified Pharmacy Technician/Trainee certification
- Previous patient-facing experience in a healthcare setting (virtual or in-person)
- Compassionate, well-spoken, and passionate about healthcare
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
Patient Support Program Coordinator Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work onsite in Cary, NC, 5 days a week
Patient Support Program Coordinator Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Pharmacy Technician certification required)
