Job Description
Title: Payroll Project Analyst II
Location: Detroit, MI (3-days onsite, 2-days remote Hybrid Schedule)
Note: C2C & 3rd party candidates will NOT be considered
The Payroll Project Analyst will be responsible for:
- Managing payroll inquiries and requests for internal and external customers via case management tools
- Researching and resolving employee concerns through successful resolution, including communication to appropriate parties
- Providing all levels of Time & Labor data/process management, including data audits and communications to employees to address and resolve data entry issues; working with outsource vendor to manage T&L system issues
- Auditing, resolving, and reconciling Time & Labor databases for submission to outsource vendors each pay cycle for processing by required deadlines; following-up with vendors on associated questions
- Reviewing, validating, and reconciling 1-time payments, deductions, and miscellaneous spreadsheets for submission to outside vendors for processing
- Partnering with the payroll vendor to coordinate all required payroll support tasks, including off cycle payment processing
- Managing department mail to ensure time sensitive documents are addressed internally or forwarded to responsible third-party vendors for timely handling
- Upholding company policies and procedures for payroll processing
- Handling other duties, as assigned
Position Qualifications:
- 3+ year(s) of diverse payroll experience in a multi-company, multi-state environment
- Experience utilizing case management/tracking tools, and adhering to SLAs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a quality Customer Service focus
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Creative problem-solving skills; strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Experience with Workday, including time administration within Workday, preferred
- Experience with ServiceNow preferred
- A minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field, OR a combination of equivalent education and working experience
