Payroll Specialist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $28-$29.30 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position will be Workdays: M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Payroll Specialist Responsibilities
Description:
Summary:
- As the Payroll Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for the execution of the on cycle and off cycle production processes that supports the timely and accurate processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls for 15,000+ Citizens colleagues.
Primary responsibilities include
- Executing the on cycle and off cycle UKG Plus payroll production processes for both the weekly and biweekly pay groups including paysheet Create, the data load processes, processing any irregular payments (e.g., sales draws, bonus payments, etc.), Pay calc, Resolving error messages, balancing payroll, executing Pay Confirm, and executing the check print and distribution processes.
- Responsible for processing Home Buyers assistance, PAC contributions, United way, intercompany transfers, bonus payments, stock options, adoption assistance, severance and incentive payments.
- Assisting with quarterly and year end processing, processing canceled checks and replacement checks, and initiating checks, voids and reversals.
- Ensure timely Funding of Payroll.
Payroll Specialist Requirements
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritize a large number of conflicting and frequently changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a high risk, high volume, and high deadline driven environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools.
- Attention to details is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to excel in a team environment using conflict resolution; problem solving, strong leadership, modeling and facilitation skills.
