Job Description

Title: Payroll Tax Specialist

Location: Cumberland, RI (Hybrid)

Pay Rate: $27.00/hr

Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 5:00PM EST

The Payroll Tax Specialist will handle payroll tax-related activities and other administrative-level tasks, tackling a backlog of registration work. Specific job duties include:

  1. Resolving administrative items related to payroll tax duties
  2. Reconciling tax payments internally
  3. Resolving State, Local, Unemployment, and Federal Tax Registrations

Position Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Accounting or Payroll experience, with in-depth knowledge of payroll procedures, tax legislation, accounting practices, and audit requirements
  • Strong experience in MS Office Suite, with proficiency in Excel
  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field
