Child and Family Therapist – Lincoln Park, MI
$3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS
Location: Lincoln Park, MI 48146
Shift: Days, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible schedule required; must be available for on-call rotation)
Pay:

Full License: $30.90 - $40.89/hour

Limited License: $28.68 - $37.91/hour

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Child and Family Therapist to provide mental health treatment and case management services to children and families. Services are delivered in-home or in the community based on family needs. The ideal candidate will implement evidence-based interventions and deliver behavioral therapy targeting school and family behaviors. Flexibility, creativity, and a “whatever it takes” approach to support families are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver weekly family therapy sessions using a structured evidence-based model.

Engage primary caregivers and family members to overcome barriers and participate in treatment.

Coordinate services with mental health and medical professionals.

Facilitate school and community collaboration on behalf of children and families.

Advocate for families to achieve independence and meet needs.

Link families to community resources and support networks.

Conduct individual, family, and group therapy; crisis intervention; and case management.

Participate in supervision, team meetings, case consultations, and training as required.

Maintain availability for on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and emergencies.
Requirements:
-
Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.

Current Michigan licensure: LMSW, LLMSW, LP, LLP, LLPC, or LPC (as applicable).

Must meet Michigan Department of Community Health requirements for Child Mental Health Professionals within 120 days of hire.

Minimum of 1 year of experience providing therapy, assessment, and treatment to minors and their families.

Experience in engaging families from diverse backgrounds with cultural competency and sensitivity.

Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a chauffeur’s license within 30 days.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in team-based settings.

Familiarity with structured, strategic, functional family therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy, and social skills interventions.

Experience with Wayne County CMH services and electronic medical records.
Additional Information:

Must maintain flexible work schedules and cell phone availability for on-call rotation.

Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Mileage reimbursement provided for personal vehicle use.

Grant-funded position; pay is non-negotiable.
