A-Line Staffing is hiring an Adult Behavioral Health Therapist to work for a human service agency in Southgate Michigan 48195 United States.

The Adult Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for maintaining a caseload consisting of clients with a primary mental health and/or co-occurring substance abuse diagnosis. The therapist is required to conduct intake assessments, to maintain the case record in a timely fashion, to complete authorizations with various funding sources in a timely manner as required, and to conduct appropriate treatment services based on medical necessity.

Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 7 pm and Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm. Evening hours will be required, and determined based on program needs.
  • Full License Hourly $27.78-$37.58 Salary $54,171-$73,281
  • Limited Hourly $25.65-$35.21 Salary $50,017.50-$68,659.50

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Primary responsibility is to participate in the delivery of clinical services, including intake evaluations, and direct treatment for adults and families.

2. Assess and document the needs of clients who present themselves for outpatient mental health and/or co-occurring substance abuse services utilizing Person-Centered Planning principals.

3. Provide individual and group therapy.

4. Work collaboratively with others in relation to the client and family including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, school personnel and other family service or support people.

5. Must meet all of the contractual requirements of the funding sources and/or agency, including maintaining State licensure.

6. Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings and case consultations.

7. Complete clinical records and agency documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and procedures of the Guidance Center.

8. Follow a professional code of ethics.

9. Coordinate effective discharge planning prior to case closure.

10. Complete 24 hours of training in the treatment of adults with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.

11. Other duties as needed.

Travel: Mileage Reimbursement when personal vehicle used - IRS standard. .64 per mile

Any training paid for by TGC.

Paid holidays include: New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, ½ day for Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after (Black Friday), Christmas eve and Christmas Day.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling and possess the corresponding State of Michigan licensure. Candidates without a state license can be considered but must obtain state licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP) within a 60-day training period beginning on the date of hire. This period may be extended by up to an additional 60 days of training at the sole discretion of the employer. Failure to obtain licensure within the training period will result in the employee being unqualified to perform work functions. Beyond the training period, all state licensures must continually remain active, in effect, and free from disciplinary action.
  • Candidates must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional credential within 120 days of hire. Must have one year of experience (may include time spent in fieldwork or internship) treating or working with people who have been diagnosed with mental illness.
