Position Details
- Job Title: Pharmacist
- Location: Memphis, Tennessee (Onsite)
- Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM as needed
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM as needed
- Pay Rate: $61/hour
About the Role
The Pharmacist will play a key role in overseeing pharmacy workflow operations within a highly automated central fill environment. This individual will collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and operations personnel to ensure medication orders are reviewed, processed, and dispensed accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a production-focused pharmacy setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and dispense prescription medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Monitor and oversee automated pharmacy dispensing systems and workflows
- Replenish medication hoppers and maintain operational continuity
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, and operational staff
- Perform quality assurance checks throughout the production process
- Document and report medication errors in accordance with established procedures
- Ensure compliance with all State and Federal pharmacy regulations
- Manage return-to-stock procedures and medication inventory processes
- Provide guidance and operational support during medication fulfillment
- Assist with medication storage and distribution oversight
- Complete end-of-day operational procedures and facility closing protocols
- Support a collaborative and team-oriented pharmacy environment
- Follow company policies, pharmacy procedures, and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
- Active, unrestricted Tennessee Pharmacist license required
- Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in additional states preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and operational teams
- Ability to work evening schedules and Saturdays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pharmacist experience in a retail, specialty, mail-order, or central fill pharmacy setting
- Experience working in a high-volume pharmacy environment
- Familiarity with pharmacy automation systems and operational workflows
- Multi-state pharmacist licensure is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and stand intermittently for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, type, and move throughout the pharmacy workspace
- Ability to push or pull carts and perform routine operational tasks
