Pharmacist – Evening Shift (Closed Door Long-Term Care Pharmacy) Schedule: Monday – Friday (2nd or 3rd Shift, based on site needs)

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (coverage as needed for PTO)
Pay Rate: $64.27/hour
Pharmacist – Evening Shift (Closed Door Long-Term Care Pharmacy) Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Evening Pharmacist to support operations in a long-term care closed door pharmacy. The Pharmacist will ensure accurate dispensing of medications, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service for patients and healthcare partners. This role requires flexibility between 2nd and 3rd shifts depending on operational needs.
Pharmacist – Evening Shift (Closed Door Long-Term Care Pharmacy) Job Responsibilities:

Accepts and dispenses prescription medications accurately in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Monitors medication usage, patient compliance, and potential drug interactions.

Verifies that prescribed medications are appropriate and safe for each patient.

Maintains accurate and confidential patient and pharmacy records.

Provides consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications, including usage, storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.

Compounds medications for internal or external use and prepares sterile solutions following proper procedures.

Supervises pharmacy technicians, clerks, and support staff to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

Maintains appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.

Identifies and resolves drug-related problems in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.

Promotes patient education on medication management and safe use of medical devices.
Pharmacist – Evening Shift (Closed Door Long-Term Care Pharmacy) Requirements:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.

Active and unrestricted Massachusetts Pharmacist License.

Previous experience in a long-term care or closed door pharmacy setting preferred.

Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.

Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift as needed.
