Job Title: Pharmacist

Pay: The pay for this position is $60.00 an hr 

• Pay is Bi-weekly

Job Location: Onsite in Phoenix, AZ

Shift Options:

• 3pm-11:30pm - Wednesday - Saturday
• 5pm - 1:30am - Friday - Tuesday
• 11pm - 7:30am - Thursday - Monday

Pharmacist Overview:

• This position is responsible for dispensing prescriptions for specialty drugs serviced at our local specialty site.
• This position is responsible for interacting with health care professionals and delivering high quality, thorough medication counseling.
• Must also transcribe prescriptions and perform clinical follow up.
• Must be comfortable communicating with patients and prescribers by telephone and in person.
• Other daily tasks will include prescriber clarifications, therapeutic interventions, and prescription entry.
• Maintains patient/resident database to include appropriate current and past medical history, appropriate clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication (including over-the-counter and home remedies)
• Ensures that appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring certain high-risk conditions are ordered, evaluated and discussed with appropriate members of the healthcare team
• Documents all communication with physicians, nurses, other members of the healthcare team and patients/residents and their family members in the medical record
• Implements policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution and use of drugs and biologicals, as well as disposal of drugs
• Obtains, as necessary, and maintains all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies and policy
• Informs the Pharmacy Manager of medication related errors
• Assists facility/agency staff personnel with procedures relating to safe and effective methods of procuring, maintaining, administering and disposing of drugs

Pharmacist Qualifications:

• AZ state license in good standing required.
• Minimum of one year pharmacy experience in retail, clinical, or hospital setting preferred.
• Experience with accredited Specialty Pharmacy preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be detail oriented, and have a positive attitude.
• Minimum of one year's pharmacy experience in a retail or hospital setting preferred.
