A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Pharmacist in Altoona, PA! The Pharmacist will be working for a Fortune 500 Company and has career growth potential. See additional details below.

Pharmacist Highlights

  • The pay for this position is $60.00-$63.00 per hour.
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM (30-minute meal break)
  • This is an onsite position with travel to multiple locations (Altoona and Huntingdon).
  • This position is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications and provide pharmaceutical care to patients.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and drug interactions.
  • Counsel patients on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and adherence.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Provide support in the daily operations of the pharmacy, including inventory management and order processing.
  • Participate in patient care team meetings and contribute insights on medication management.
  • Support the quality assurance processes and address patient safety concerns.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Pharmacist (RPh) License in good standing.
  • Previous experience as a pharmacist in a clinical or retail pharmacy setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medications, dosage forms, and interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to counsel and educate patients.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple store locations as needed.
