PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

  • Location: Apex NC 27502 – 100% on-site
  • Payrate: $64.27/hr
  • Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, rotating shifts:
    • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM / 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM / 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    • Evening and weekend on-call coverage required. Overtime available as needed.

PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing home infusion therapies through clinical review, sterile compounding, patient care coordination, and operational workflow support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while ensuring safe, compliant, and accurate medication dispensing.

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review referrals for appropriateness, including medication, dosage, route of administration, and laboratory requirements.
  • Manage new patient admissions and refill authorizations.
  • Perform medication reconciliation and provide patient counseling.
  • Monitor therapies requiring laboratory oversight and coordinate care with providers and nursing teams.
  • Accurately enter prescriptions, complete documentation, and support claim adjudication processes.
  • Prepare and verify sterile compounded medications in compliance with USP standards.
  • Ensure proper labeling, lot tracking, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians.
  • Assist with inventory management and medication procurement.
  • Support pharmacy production and delivery workflows to ensure timely patient care.

PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Required: Previous Home Infusion Pharmacy experience.
  • Experience with sterile compounding and USP compliance standards.
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
