Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews of pharmacotherapy for patients, including drug utilization, counseling, compliance, and side effects.
- Document pharmacotherapy review results in patient charts for nursing follow-up.
- Counsel patients on new drug therapy to ensure understanding of treatment plans.
- Coordinate patient care with referring clinicians, addressing social, psychological, and physical needs.
- Provide on-call coverage as directed by the Pharmacist-in-Charge to meet patient needs outside of operational hours.
- Dispense medications in accordance with state, federal, and board of pharmacy laws.
Critical Information
- Onsite for at least 6 months, transitioning to hybrid if metrics are met.
- Work schedule: M-F 9-6 CST for training, then M-F 10-7 CST after training.
- Must live within one hour driving distance of Fort Worth, TX.
Education/Licenses Needed
- Must be licensed in Texas and in good standing.
- 3-5 years of post-graduate experience in pharmacy operation, clinical oversight, and patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
- BCOP certified or willing to become certified when eligible.
