Retail Pharmacist Highlights

• The pay for this position is $65.00-$75.00 per hour.
• Onsite position
• This position is a full-time, contract.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications based on valid prescriptions, including checking for drug interactions and potential issues.
• Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and any possible drug interactions.
• Perform medication reviews, administer immunizations, and provide other clinical services as required by the pharmacy and state regulations.
• Interact professionally with customers, addressing their concerns and answering questions about medications.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including inventory management, maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations, and supervising pharmacy technicians.
• Perform thorough reviews of prescriptions to ensure appropriate medication usage and identify any potential problems.
• Maintain accuracy in prescription filling, adhering to all quality standards set by regulatory bodies and the pharmacy.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school
• Current state pharmacy license
• Strong understanding of pharmacology and drug interactions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and healthcare providers
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions within the scope of practice
