MTM Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $50-$55 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
- The required availability for this position is:
- Monday-Thursday, 8 :30am to 5 :30pm
- Fridays 8:30am to 12:30pm
- Dispensing Medications:
- Review and interpret prescription orders.
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify prescription information for completeness and accuracy.
- Provide counseling to patients on medication use, potential side effects, and precautions.
- Patient Care:
- Conduct medication therapy management and patient education.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens.
- Monitor patient profiles for drug interactions and contraindications.
- Answer patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Oversee proper storage and handling of medications.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with pharmacy technicians to manage workflow.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in staff meetings and training programs.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage pharmacy inventory and order medications as needed.
- Monitor and rotate stock to minimize waste.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical care and medication therapy management.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- Previous experience as a licensed pharmacist preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and technology.
