PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: San Diego, CA 92126 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $66/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Weekends as needed)
PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacist will ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of medications within a closed-door pharmacy, providing clinical consultations and supervising technical staff. By collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and managing sterile compounding, this role plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of care for long-term care patients.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clinical Oversight: Accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications while monitoring for suitability, compliance, and over-usage patterns.
- Compounding & Preparation: Prepare sterile solutions and compound medications for internal/external use following strict safety protocols.
- Supervision: Lead and direct pharmacy technicians and clerks to ensure efficient workflow and accuracy in a closed-door environment.
- Consultation & Education: Advise on dosage, side effects, and drug interactions; educate on the use of medical devices (e.g., glucose meters, BP monitors).
- Collaboration: Work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
- Administrative Integrity: Maintain meticulous, confidential patient records and manage pharmacy inventory levels.
PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in the state of California.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in sterile preparation and pharmaceutical compounding.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care (LTC) or closed-door pharmacy setting is preferred.
