PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

  • Location: Fridley MN 55421 – 100% on-site
  • Payrate: $65.75/hr
  • Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, possible weekends

PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, reviewing prescriptions, and counseling patients on proper medication use and potential side effects. The role also oversees pharmacy operations by maintaining patient records, supervising pharmacy staff, managing inventory, collaborating with healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations and quality standards.

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Review medication orders for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness.
  • Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including proper use, storage, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Monitor patient medication therapy and identify potential drug-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile products as needed.
  • Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy support staff.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.

PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • Active Minnesota Pharmacist license required.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
