PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Warwick RI 02888 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $65.75/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Rotating shift
- 2–3 shifts: 9:30 AM–6:00 PM + 2–3 shifts: 2:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Potential Saturday coverage
PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacist will be responsible for safely dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, maintaining accurate records, and supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential medication-related concerns.
- Counsel patients regarding medications, including proper use, dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
- Provide services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
- Compound medications for external or internal use.
- Prepare sterile solutions according to proper procedures.
- Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy staff.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
- Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Ensure pharmacy practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and established procedures.
PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Current state pharmacist license required.
- Flexibility to work the required schedule, including potential Saturday coverage.
