PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Washington NC 27889 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $65.75/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM, with occasional rotating Saturdays
PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacist is responsible for accurately dispensing medications, counseling patients, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for a stable, contract-to-hire position.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
- Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, side effects, and proper usage.
- Monitor medication compliance and identify potential medication-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Prepare compounded medications and sterile solutions as required.
- Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy support staff.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Current, active Pharmacist license in the state of North Carolina.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, medication therapy, and patient counseling.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite and participate in a rotating Saturday schedule.
