A-Line Staffing is now hiring Pharmacists in Washington, NC 27889. The Pharmacist would be working for a long-term care pharmacy organization and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Pharmacist – Long-Term Care Pharmacy Compensation

• The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Pharmacist – Long-Term Care Pharmacy Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, standard daytime hours (exact schedule to be discussed during interview)

Pharmacist – Long-Term Care Pharmacy Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Monitor patient medication adherence and identify overuse or misuse patterns
• Ensure prescribed medications are clinically appropriate and legally compliant
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files
• Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, interactions, and storage
• Offer guidance on non-prescription medications and medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications following established procedures
• Prepare sterile solutions following proper pharmacy protocols
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory
• Identify and resolve drug-related problems in collaboration with physicians and healthcare providers
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinical staff to optimize patient care

Pharmacist – Long-Term Care Pharmacy Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the state pharmacy board
• Experience in long-term care, home infusion, or clinical pharmacy settings preferred
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Pharmacist – Long-Term Care Pharmacy Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care pharmacy, assisted living, or nursing home pharmacy services
• Strong knowledge of sterile compounding and pharmacy compliance standards
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
