PHARMACY CARE COORDINATOR | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

  • Location: Central Standard Time – remote, scheduling is based off of CST
  • Payrate: $20/hr
  • Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday
    • Must be available to work scheduled shifts between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM CST
    • Mandatory virtual training schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

PHARMACY CARE COORDINATOR | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Pharmacy Care Coordinator will support patients throughout their healthcare journey. In this remote role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and referral sources, helping ensure timely access to important therapies and support programs.

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

PHARMACY CARE COORDINATOR | RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls while providing excellent customer service and first-call resolution whenever possible
  • Assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers with program enrollment and support services
  • Create and process referrals, applications, and required documentation accurately
  • Investigate and resolve patient and provider inquiries in a timely manner
  • Document interactions and maintain accurate records within company systems
  • Conduct patient follow-up calls and confirmations as needed
  • Manage patient cases from initial contact through final approval or denial
  • Educate callers on available resources, processes, and next steps
  • Maintain quality standards while providing empathetic and supportive service
  • Report adverse events and other required information according to established procedures

PHARMACY CARE COORDINATOR | REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • 1+ years of healthcare support/patient access experience in a call center setting required
  • Experience working with medical, pharmacy, Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance benefits required
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and coverage processes required
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with computers, data entry, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Remote Work Requirements (Company-issued equipment will be provided.)

  • A dedicated, quiet, distraction-free workspace
  • Reliable high-speed broadband internet connection
  • Hardwired internet connection to the router
  • Minimum internet speeds: Download: 15 Mbps, Upload: 5 Mbps
  • Ability to participate in training and meetings with camera enabled required
