Job Title: Pharmacy Fill Technician (Morning Shift)
Location: Norfolk, VA 23513 (On-site — 5375 B. Henneman Drive)
Shift Options:

•  8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, alternating weekends (you’ll get a day off during the week when working a weekend)
• Evening Shift (3:30pm - 12:00am) with alternating weekends where they'd have a day off during the week.

Pay: $21-$22 an hr

Job Summary

Pharmacy Services is hiring Pharmacy Fill Technicians to support prescription preparation in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. You’ll be responsible for accurate picking, labeling, scanning, and final prep of medications before pharmacist verification—while keeping work areas organized and compliant with regulations.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Pull/pick medications from shelving and medication storage (including pre-pack racks)
• Label, scan, and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification
• Perform accuracy checks on final preparation before pharmacist review
• Fill daily medication orders accurately, efficiently, and with priority
• Assist with returned medications (recycle/dispose per procedure)
• Pre-pack frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and replenish supplies each shift
• Flag any medications/products that do not scan properly
• Follow all policies and government regulations (including HIPAA)
• Work overtime/holidays/weekends as needed based on business demand

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pharmacy technician license/certification required by Virginia/state regulations
• Comfortable with standing/sitting 7–10 hours/day
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Reliable, detail-focused, able to work at a steady pace
• Knowledge of brand/generic medication names (strongly preferred)

Preferred:

• 1+ year pharmacy experience (long-term care pharmacy experience is a plus)
