Pharmacy Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour

• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

• A 401(k) with company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Pharmacy Technician Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs

• The required availability for this position is:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Sunday: Closed

• Location: Onsite in Urbandale, IA 50322

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications

• Assist the Billing Supervisor with accurate data entry for reimbursement and order processing

• Prepackage medications for dispensing according to standards and government regulations

• Support the Pharmacist with final checking of prescriptions, packaging, and timely delivery coordination

• Maintain good inventory practices, including receiving, rotating stock, and documenting lot numbers and expiration dates

• Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant pharmacy environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness

Pharmacy Technician Requirements

• Active Iowa Pharmacy Technician License (required)

• Experience in a retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy setting

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow procedures

• Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills

• High School Diploma or GED (required)

• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications

• Experience preparing IV medications or sterile compounds

• Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and billing software
