Job Title: Pharmacy Technician – Fulfillment (Licensed – TX Required)
Location: Northlake, TX
Pay: $21.60/hour (Pay increase contingent on permanent conversion)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (strong intent to convert)
Job Summary
This role supports a high-volume pharmacy fulfillment operation focused on getting prescriptions processed, packaged, and shipped efficiently to retail locations. Working in a micro-fulfillment environment, you’ll be part of a team that combines automation and hands-on pharmacy work to ensure patients receive medications quickly and accurately.
Day to day, you’ll move between data entry, prescription processing, and physical fulfillment tasks—helping manage the full lifecycle of a prescription from intake to shipment while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards.
Schedule Options (Set Schedules)
- Option 1: Sunday–Tuesday & Friday | 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM (Off Wed/Thu/Sat)
- Option 2: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM (Off Tue/Thu/Sat)
- Option 3: Sunday–Thursday | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Off Fri/Sat)
Key Responsibilities
- Process prescription orders and enter patient data using pharmacy systems
- Handle refill requests and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Troubleshoot missing or incomplete prescription information and resolve data entry issues
- Interpret SIG codes and support accurate prescription processing
- Operate automated fulfillment equipment and assist with workflow movement of medications
- Count, fill, label, package, and ship prescriptions
- Maintain inventory flow and perform quality control checks throughout the process
- Resolve third-party rejects by reviewing claims, correcting issues, and resubmitting
- Support pharmacists and escalate issues when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician License in the State of Texas (Required)
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic computer skills (navigation, data entry, file management, internet use)
- Intermediate typing skills (25+ WPM)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, pushing, pulling, etc.)
- Willingness to work assigned schedule and overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- PTCB or ExCPT Certification
- Experience with prescription data entry, prior authorization, or insurance processing
- Experience working in high-volume or automated pharmacy environments
