Pharmacy Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $27 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Pharmacy Technician Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
- The required availability for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
- This is an onsite role located in Phoenix, AZ.
Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
- Process applications for pharmaceutical Patient Assistance Programs
- Help uninsured and low-income patients access free or reduced-cost medications
- Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, nurses, social workers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers
- Educate patients and providers on program eligibility and medication access
- Track and report the value of medications recovered
- Resolve rejected applications and locate alternative medication options
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
- Perform data entry and documentation using eRecovery software
- Provide high-volume phone and in-person patient support
Pharmacy Technician Requirements
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician License
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) required
- 5–7 years of experience in pharmacy, healthcare, customer service, or administrative support
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with low-income, uninsured, or special-needs populations
- Experience with social service programs or charitable organizations
- Hospital or clinic pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of medications, disease states, and standard treatments
