Pharmacy Technician Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour.
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Pharmacy Technician Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
  • The required availability for this position is 5 days a week, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with rotating weekends.

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

  • Work under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently
  • Prepackage medications for dispensing according to standards and government regulations
  • Assist the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, including stating the medication for RPh review and/or packaging post-RPh review
  • Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers
  • Assist Pharmacy Management in maintaining inventory, including receiving, rotating, posting lot numbers and expiration dates, and supporting physical inventory counts
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness

Pharmacy Technician Requirements

  • Current Maine Pharmacy Technician License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

  • Enjoys working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and commitment to customer service
