Pharmacy Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Pharmacy Technician Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs
• Shift: Monday – Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Location: Onsite in Overland Park, KS (ZIP 66214)
Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
- Fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Work with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data into the system and assist with reimbursement processing
• Assist in prepackaging medications according to pharmacy standards and regulations
• Support the Pharmacist with final prescription checks, including restating medications for verification and packaging for delivery
• Coordinate accurate and timely medication delivery to customers
• Help maintain proper inventory practices by receiving, rotating, and tracking medications and supplies, including lot numbers and expiration dates
• Participate in physical inventory processes as needed
• Work with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Assist in checking pharmacy equipment for calibration and cleanliness
Pharmacy Technician Requirements
- Active Kansas Pharmacy Technician License is required
• Ability to follow strict pharmacy procedures and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Must be comfortable working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist
