Staff Pharmacist – Tempe, AZ 85288

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Staff Pharmacist in Tempe, AZ 85288. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity with one of the nation’s leading healthcare organizations. We are seeking an experienced and licensed Arizona Pharmacist who can work efficiently, communicate clearly, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Pharmacist Schedule

• Monday through Friday
  • 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • No weekends or holidays required

Pharmacist Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Active Arizona Pharmacist License, in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy
  • Fluent in English and highly proficient with computers
  • Ability to multitask and work with urgency
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal and clinical guidelines
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and detect potential over-usage patterns
  • Maintain confidential and accurate pharmacy records and patient files
  • Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications, including proper usage, side effects, and interactions
  • Provide additional services including smoking cessation, blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring
  • Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions in accordance with proper procedures
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, and interns
  • Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory and supplies
  • Identify and resolve drug-related problems through collaboration with healthcare providers
