Pharmacy Technician Compensation

  • Pay rate: $24.45 per hour
  • Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days (medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability)
  • 401(k) with company match after 1 year of service on eligibility dates

Pharmacy Technician Highlights

  • Location: Urbandale, IA – 100% Onsite
  • Schedule:
    • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    • Sunday: Closed
  • Assignment Type: Contract-to-hire based on attendance, performance, and business needs

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications
  • Assist in prepackaging and labeling medications according to state and federal guidelines
  • Enter prescription and reimbursement data accurately into the pharmacy system
  • Support the pharmacist in final checking of prescriptions, including staging and packaging for review
  • Maintain accurate inventory by receiving, rotating, and tracking medications
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
  • Coordinate timely and accurate medication delivery to customers

Pharmacy Technician Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • License: Active Iowa Pharmacy Technician License (required)
  • Experience: Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred
  • Attendance: Mandatory for the first 90 days of employment
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
