PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Vineland NJ 08361 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $24.45/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling prescriptions, preparing IVs, and assisting with data entry for reimbursement. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate prepackaging of medications and maintaining a high standard of pharmacy inventory practices.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prescription Preparation: Fill prescriptions and prepare IVs under pharmacist supervision.
- Data Entry: Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter data into the computer system for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement.
- Dispensing & Packaging: Prepackage medications according to strict safety standards and government regulations; assist in the final staging and packaging of medications for pharmacist review.
- Inventory Management: Assist management with receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, tracking lot numbers/expiration dates, and participating in physical inventory counts.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including checking pharmacy equipment for proper calibration and cleanliness.
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Licensure: Active registration with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy is required.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow regulatory guidelines, and proficiency in basic computer data entry.
